With 282 new additions, Bloomberg Línea presented its third edition of the 500 Most Influential People of Latin American 2023. Each individual was carefully selected by the editorial committee after an extensive analysis of 20 different markets. These chosen individuals are leaders in various sectors and have navigated a complex economic landscape traditionally characterized by high-interest rates and uncertainty.

Additionally, the list recognizes Latin American figures who wield significant influence—not only within the region, but on a global scale—in fields ranging from finance and the arts to science and sports.

Marquez has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Previously, she served as CEO of Hyundai Motor Mexico. Prior to joining Hyundai, Marquez held leadership positions at both Nissan Motor Company and BMW Group.

Since Marquez joined Genesis, the company has experienced tremendous growth. It continues to set U.S. sales records in 2023, having surpassed 50,000 vehicles sold in the first three quarters. The brand also recently surpassed one million global vehicle sales.
