Genstar Capital Names David Golde and Brett Shobe as Senior Associates

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Genstar Capital, LLC, a middle market private equity firm that focuses on investments in selected segments of the life sciences, healthcare, financial services, software, and industrial technology industries, today announced the appointments of David J. Golde and Brett J. Shobe as Senior Associates who will help the firm identify, evaluate, and execute acquisition and investment opportunities.

Mr. Golde re-joins Genstar after earning his MBA degree from Stanford's Graduate School of Business.  He first joined Genstar in 2006 as an Associate, and began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was an investment banking analyst in Palo Alto and Chicago. He earned his BBA degree in Finance, Investments & Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Mr. Shobe joins Genstar after serving as an Associate with private equity and venture capital investment firm Austin Ventures, where he focused on investments in services businesses. Previously, he worked for Goldman Sachs in New York and Houston as an Analyst in the Mergers & Strategic Advisory Group. Mr. Shobe earned his MBA degree from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and received a BA in Mathematical Economic Analysis and Managerial Studies from Rice University.
