George Mason Athletics Partners With Mobilitie To Bring World-Class Wireless To EagleBank Arena

Working with Mason Athletics and University Facilities teams to ensure seamless, ubiquitous and gapless coverage, Mobilitie designed and installed a distributed wireless network that includes dozens of small, digital antennas and remotes, and a mile of fiber and coax cable. The entire network is concealed by lights, steel beams and other structures to be virtually unnoticeable to fans and guests.

The result is a near-flawless wireless experience for spectators as they share real-time happenings on their data-using smartphones and other devices. 

Mobilitie installed a distributed antenna system (DAS) network which, due to the advanced technology throughout it, provides broader, stronger coverage, faster connectivity, enhanced download and upload speeds and improved reliability in every corner of EagleBank Arena – while using less power.
