Georgia Power introduces My Power Usage

ATLANTA, May 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia Power announced today that it has introduced My Power Usage, a new online program at GeorgiaPower.com that provides customers with the information they need to better manage energy costs and help eliminate surprises at the end of their billing cycle. The program is available once customers sign in to their account at GeorgiaPower.com and enables them to view their energy use 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as projected monthly bills.

Additionally, customers are able to set up email notifications that will alert them when their bill reaches a certain dollar amount, receive energy efficiency tips to save money and energy, and view interactive weather graphs to understand how hot or cold weather may impact their energy costs.

My Power Usage is the latest addition to a diverse collection of useful tools and information available for customers at GeorgiaPower.com. Customers can also visit the website to report an outage and check on repair status; start, stop or transfer electrical service; view helpful "how to" videos on a variety of topics; and learn about programs and rebates for both residential and business customers.

The company also recently upgraded its website, working as part of an internal coalition led by eSSENTIAL Accessibility™, with an assistive technology-enabled gateway that allows customers with disabilities to navigate the website more easily.
