ATLANTA, July 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Georgia Power announced today the latest partnership with a leading retailer to help customers save money and energy - a new rebate and discount offer exclusively at The Home Depot®, the world's largest home improvement retailer. Now through Oct. 15, 2015, Georgia Power residential customers can save instantly in-store through Georgia Power's Appliance Program with an exclusive coupon for select ENERGY STAR® appliances at The Home Depot. The instant savings coupon is included in each Georgia Power residential July statement.

The Georgia Power coupon* features an instant rebate of $20 to $25 at checkout on select ENERGY STAR certified clothes washers, refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners. Customers can also receive an additional 10 percent off the purchase price of select ENERGY STAR certified appliances $397 and above.

In addition to instant savings, Georgia Power offers a variety of separate rebates and incentives to make saving money and energy even easier. Through Dec. 31, 2015, customers who submit a completed appliance rebate form within ten days of purchase through the Appliance Program will be automatically entered in a monthly sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 gift card**.

Georgia Power reminds customers that energy efficient appliances offer long-term savings. In fact, ENERGY STAR certified new appliances use an estimated 9 to 40 percent less energy and water than standard models.
