The jury specifically pointed to how Getinge Online is transforming Getinge from an equipment provider to a full solution provider and service partner to its healthcare customers.

Getinge Online is a tool that enables users of Getinge's reprocessing equipment to access information about the equipment's status at any time and from anywhere. Instead of overviewing the sterilization or disinfection process manually and on the spot, medical staff and service technicians can now follow the process on their computers or even mobile devices wherever they are.

Thanks to instant notification when a machine has completed a process or otherwise needs attention, productivity can be maximized. Statistics shown graphically alongside data on the equipment's performance also make it easier for any technical support staff to solve problems early and minimize downtime.

The true differentiator of Getinge Online is the unique Customer Portal, which was developed by Getinge IT Solutions at the company's development centers in Copenhagen, Denmark and Lviv, Ukraine. Since January 2011 the portal has been available to Getinge's customers around the world, and is now in operation in the US, the UK, France, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, the Middle East and even in the Bahamas.
