Stone, and 1941's MEET BOSTON BLACKIE (July 9) with Rochelle Hudson; Warner Baxter is the amnesiac criminal psychologist Robert Ordway in CRIME DOCTOR (1943), and 1945's THE CRIME DOCTOR'S COURAGE (July 16); Richard Dix stars in the film noir favorites THE WHISTLER (1944) and 1945's THE VOICE OF THE WHISTLER, directed by William Castle (July 23); Basil Rathbone is the super-sleuth Sherlock Holmes in SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE SECRET WEAPON from 1942 and 1946's SHERLOCK HOLMES: DRESSED TO KILL (July 30), and more.

getTV honors Barbara Stanwyck in six of her most unforgettable films, with a two-week tribute as part of the Friday Icons block every week at 7 p.m. ET. The lineup kicks off on July 3 with Stanwyck in a trio of Frank Capra pre-Code classics featuring the 1930 romance LADIES OF LEISURE, the film that made Stanwyck a star, followed by the 1933 war drama THE BITTER TEA OF GENERAL YEN, and 1932's FORBIDDEN with Ralph Bellamy and Adolphe Menjou; the celebration continues on July 10, with Stanwyck in Capra's 1941 political romp MEET JOHN DOE with Gary Cooper, the 1932 pre-Code romance SHOPWORN with Zasu Pitts, and the 1939 boxing drama GOLDEN BOY—starring a then-unknown William Holden in the role that launched his career. Frank Capra directs this pre-Code romantic drama about party girl Kay Arnold (Barbara Stanwyck) who falls in love with aspiring artist Jerry Strong (Ralph Graves), after he hires her to model for him. The blossoming romance is threatened, however, when the couple face strong opposition from Jerry's family, who know all about Kay's wild past. Friday, July 10 at 9:50 p.m. ET – "Shopworn" (1932)
Barbara Stanwyck stars as Kitty Lane, a hardworking waitress who falls in love with wealthy heir David Livingston (Regis Toomey). Janet Leigh, Ann-Margret, Maureen Stapleton, and Paul Lynde also star.
