Gilbane Federal Wins Global Navy Fuels Contract for Fuel System Repairs Worldwide

ARLINGTON, Va., March 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gilbane Federal announced that the company has been awarded an $800 Million Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for fuels services at various military installations. The US Navy selected Gilbane Federal, along with seven other firms (five large and three small businesses) to provide fuel system repair, upgrade, sustainment, and modernization services worldwide for the next five years under the Global Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricants (GPOL) contract.

This contract supersedes the Navy POLMAC contract which Gilbane won in 2009. The POLMAC was a large-volume fuels contract Gilbane participated in as part of its Fuels Business Unit's expansion as a dominant, international military fuel system repair provider. NAVFAC EXWC is a valuable and vital client to Gilbane. Gilbane has performed fuels repairs worldwide for the Navy for the past five years and looks forward to five more years of supporting them as one of their leading fuel system repair contractors.

The contract is managed by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC), Port Hueneme, California. Work under this IDIQ will be awarded until the cap is collectively reached or five years elapses, whichever happens first.
