Gilda's Club Chicago Partners With Cellar Angels to Raise Funds
CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gilda's Club Chicago is pleased to announce a new partnership with national wine company, Cellar Angels, to generate proceeds through online wine sales.
Gilda's Club Chicago is a free cancer support community for the whole family, the whole time – and embraces Gilda Radner's legacy of humor and courage when faced with a cancer diagnosis. Radner believed that no one should have to face cancer alone, which inspired the creation of Gilda's Club in 1995. As a non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization, all funding for Gilda's Club Chicago is provided locally through donations from individuals, businesses, foundations and special events. The marketing partnership with Cellar Angels is one of the first of its kind for Gilda's Club and they look forward to the opportunities it presents.
Cellar Angels is the premiere source for exclusive wines from Napa and Sonoma, offered to its members at a discount. Members select a charity during the purchase process, known as "Sip, Save, Give," and 10 percent of net proceeds are donated to their chosen charity. The wines are some of the best of Napa and Sonoma, which are not available in retail locations as production volumes are too low. Similar to Gilda's Club, membership in Cellar Angels is free.
For Cellar Angels, the partnership was an easy decision.
