Globe Education Network Hosts Seventh Annual We Care Community Service Day

MINNEAPOLIS, May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Friday, May 16, Globe Education Network (GEN), a collaborative body of career colleges, universities and training centers which include Globe University, Broadview University, Minnesota School of Business, Minnesota School of Cosmetology, Broadview Entertainment Arts University and the Institute of Production Recording, will host the seventh annual We Care community service day. One thousand five hundred Globe Education Network employees from 28 campuses, in five states will volunteer their time with dozens of organizations.

Globe Education Network employees in Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Utah and Idaho will spend the day helping a variety of organizations including Second Harvest Minnesota, Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota and Wisconsin, Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest and Salt Lake City, L. H. Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve of Green Bay, Wausau Urban Community Gardens, the Blaine triathlon, Feed My Starving Children, Adopt a Highway of Minnesota, US Post Office Stamp Out Hunger, Head Start of Minnesota, UNICEF, Learning Lab Idaho and the YMCA of Salt Lake City.

Dedication to the community goes beyond this one day. In 2013 employees and students of Globe Education Network participated in 3,071 community events and invested 32,219 volunteer hours in the community.
