GoldenSource's Engdahl to Discuss Integrated Data Management at EFIS and Screen Amsterdam

Stephen Engdahl, SVP, Product Strategy at GoldenSource Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise data management solutions, will be sharing his views on how to best establish an integrated data management framework to manage risk at the European Financial Information Summit (EFIS) in London on September 27 at 2:00 p.m. BST. Two days later, on September 29 at 9:00 a.m. CEST at Screen Amsterdam, he will further elaborate on how financial institutions can effectively manage data at the enterprise level.

At EFIS, Engdahl will be featured on the EDM panel moderated by Morgan Stanley's Shari Lines, VP, Enterprise Data Group. He will address the challenges associated with delivering cleansed data to downstream systems in the required formats and explain how market participants can take it up a notch by leveraging the synergies across the enterprise and extending data models to new business areas. Together with the panel, he will outline how data and risk officers can guaranty quality control by identifying the right strategies for measuring data accuracy and consistency. As a last item on the agenda, the group will consider what model works best for the enterprise. At Screen Amsterdam, Engdahl will open the debate and discuss the advantages of the primary architectural options for data management at the enterprise level - federated or centralized, single or multiple golden copy - including points firms will need to consider when selecting the right architecture for their operation. Finally, he will provide examples of how financial institutions can achieve success with various approaches. Engdahl joined GoldenSource in November 2010 and is responsible for defining and articulating the company's global product strategy.
