GoldSpring Consulting Acquires Management Alternatives
Acquisition Includes Industry Benchmarking Solution 3d Travel Metrics
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- GoldSpring Consulting LLC announces the acquisition of Management Alternatives, Inc. (MAI) as part of its strategic growth plan. "This acquisition will help us reach our growth and service offering goals much more quickly than we had initially envisioned," said Mark Williams, GoldSpring partner. "Our mission matches the MAI vision to deliver high value business advisory services across all business travel sectors. This acquisition dramatically expands our range of services and supports that vision."

With more than 20 years of experience in travel management consultancy, Will Tate, former senior vice president of MAI, will join GoldSpring's management team as a partner. Also joining the GoldSpring team from MAI will be Shimon Avish and Ed O'Connor; Avish will manage meetings engagements and O'Connor will work as a senior consultant.
In addition to bringing on key staff, GoldSpring will acquire 3d Travel Metrics. Developed by Will Tate, 3d Travel Metrics is comprised of tools for supplier assessment and travel management company evaluation. "3d Travel Metrics allows us to expand our service offering and better support our clients," added Colleen Black, partner at GoldSpring.
Further enhancing the technology offering, GoldSpring will acquire Air Sourcing Manager™ (ASM) and Hotel Optimization Manager™ (HOM) developed independently by GoldSpring partner Neil Hammond. ASM is a financial modeling tool which analyzes corporate airline programs for buyers. HOM is a hotel program analysis tool which analyzes proposals from hoteliers and adds efficiency to the hotel selection process.
GoldSpring, which announced its affiliation with Partnership Travel Consulting (PTC) in late 2014, has completed several joint projects with PTC and will continue to collaborate on some future projects.
