Governor Rendell Orders Flags to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Staff Sgt. Richard James Tieman
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell today ordered all U.S. and state flags in the Capitol Complex and in Franklin County to be flown at half-staff in honor of Staff Sgt. Richard James Tieman.
Tieman, 28, of Waynesboro, was killed May 18 while serving on active duty in Kabul, Afghanistan. He was serving his third tour of duty in the war zone.
Flags will remain at half-staff through sunset on Friday, June 11, when Tieman will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
