Greektown Casino-Hotel Launches Detroit's Largest Casino Promotion Ever

DETROIT, June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- This summer, Greektown Casino-Hotel will launch Detroit's largest casino promotion ever.  A total of 23 lucky guests will drive away in a brand new Chevrolet or Ford vehicle, and thousands of dollars in gas cards will also be awarded during Greektown's "Free Ride Car-A-Day Giveaway" in July.

As part of the promotion, metro Detroiters will also help Greektown Casino-Hotel award a 24^th new vehicle to a non-profit organization that provides 'free rides' or requires transportation to offer its service in the community. 

"Greektown Casino-Hotel is putting the pedal to the metal this summer by giving away more new cars in one month than any other casino in our market's 14 year history," said Chief Community Officer Marvin W. Beatty.  "In the heart of the Motor City, our team is thrilled to give a new Ford or Chevrolet to 23 lucky guests and one very deserving charitable organization."

All members of CLUB Greektown*, the casino's guest-loyalty program, are eligible to participate in the "Free Ride Car-A-Day Giveaway." To enter the weekday drawing, members earn entries by playing their favorite slots or table games. Members redeem their entries by swiping their CLUB Greektown membership card at a promotional kiosk located on the casino floor. Members can earn double the entries from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the promotion as well as hundreds of free gas cards daily. Drawings will be held at 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, throughout the month of July. Guests must be present to win.

The four charities, nominated by Greektown Casino-Hotel team members, are Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL), Gleaner's Community Food Bank, Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America and Meals on Wheels. Greektown Casino-Hotel invites the public to vote for their favorite nominee by visiting the WDIV-TV website www.clickondetroit.com from July 1-31, 2013.  At the conclusion of the contest, the organization with the most online votes will win a new car and the three runners-up will win cash donations. 

A television, radio, digital and outdoor advertising campaign will launch the week of June 24, leveraging the iconic classic rock song "Free Ride" by Edgar Winter, and will feature "Dave the Car Hauler Driver," who will make special appearances throughout the Detroit area in July.

*Persons must be 21 years of age or older to join CLUB Greektown. A valid photo ID is required when joining CLUB Greektown and redeeming points. One member per card; points and privileges are nontransferable. Excludes Michigan Disassociated Persons.
