Green Rush Consulting Hosts Meetings with Medical Marijuana Professionals in Chicago

CHICAGO, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Rush Consulting announced today that their team of professional medical marijuana consultants is hosting a series of meetings with prospective business clients, the media, and elected officials from February 11th – 18th in downtown Chicago.

Finalized Illinois MMJ regulations are expected as soon as April 2014, with a state Request For Proposal (RFP) to follow. Marijuana businesses are expected to become operational within 4-12 months thereafter. Illinois expects to permit up to 60 dispensaries, and 22 cultivation centers, (1 per legislative or police district). Illinois is establishing a separated licensing system that has not been done in other states. Traditionally cultivation and dispensing were vertically integrated.
