ATLANTA, Dec. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ted Blum, Managing Shareholder of the Atlanta office of Greenberg Traurig recently spent his day in a wheelchair to gain a new perspective of what a person confined to a chair faces on a daily basis. Blum's experiences, perspective and challenges were chronicled by The Triumph Over Tragedy Foundation's Roll a Mile in My Shoes project.
The Roll a Mile in My Shoes project follows executives while conducting their work day confined to a wheelchair. This experience is designed to help community leaders understand the life altering challenges of a serious injury or illness so that they can use their influence to spread awareness about Triumph Over Tragedy Foundation and its great work.
The Triumph Over Tragedy Foundation is a Georgia based non-profit started by brothers Wesley and Reggie Jones. At the age of 11, Wesley broke his neck and became a quadriplegic. The Triumph over Tragedy Foundation seeks to support the entire family unit of victims of tragedy from initial onset through adaption after the illness and injury. The Triumph over Tragedy Foundation also provides families with an escape from the stress of these life altering events through grief counseling.
