Greenplum Debuts Greenplum Chorus, The First Commercial Enterprise Data Cloud Platform

LAS VEGAS, April 12 /PRNewswire/ -- GREENPLUM DAYS -- Greenplum Software, the world's leading data infrastructure company, today introduced Greenplum Chorus™, the industry's first commercially available Enterprise Data Cloud™ platform.  Greenplum Chorus's innovative self-service provisioning, data collaboration and data services features offer global organizations the opportunity to complement their traditional enterprise data warehouse (EDW) with a new class of software that empowers people within an enterprise to more easily collaborate and derive insight from their data.

Greenplum today also announced Greenplum Database 4.0, a major release of the company's high-performance database software. • Self-Healing Fault Tolerance: Traditional MPP database fault-tolerance techniques were suitable for <100 servers, but TCO increased dramatically beyond that scale. Greenplum's new fault-tolerance capabilities provide intelligent fault-detection and fast online differential recovery, lowering TCO and allowing cloud-scale systems with the highest levels of availability.
