Greg Scott Named National Sector Leader of Deloitte's Health Plans Practice

NEW YORK, Aug. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte is announcing the appointment of Greg Scott as vice chairman and national sector leader for Deloitte's health plans practice, one of the leading accounting and consulting organizations to the health insurance sector with nearly 800 professionals serving most of the top 25 U.S. health plans and managed care companies in addition to a majority of the Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations.

A principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, Scott has an extensive background in professional services and as a corporate executive and policy leader given prior positions at Anthem (now WellPoint) and the Health Care Financing Administration (now the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services).

Scott succeeds Bill Copeland, who initiated the transition to focus more on his role as national industry leader of Deloitte's life sciences and health care practice, which encompasses Deloitte's health plans, providers and life sciences practices.

Scott has been with Deloitte for 16 years, most recently as leader of consulting services to the plans sector. His client service resume includes commercial health plans and such adjacent sectors as integrated delivery systems, pharmacy benefit managers and federal and state agencies.
