Thomé will oversee clinical operations, care delivery, and technology as Groups builds a unified platform to support every aspect of recovery
NEW YORK, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Groups Recover Together, the national leader in value-based care for substance use disorder, today announced the appointment of Alexandre "Ale" Thomé as President. Thomé will set priorities across the company and lead both operations and the technology platform. He will focus on helping Groups continue to build the care delivery platform that positions the organization to expand its services and support every dimension of recovery.
Thomé has spent more than a decade working to expand access to care for underserved communities. Most recently, as Chief Technology Officer at Homeward Health, he built the technology organization and launched an AI-enabled care platform serving more than 100,000 rural Medicare Advantage members. Before that, as Chief Product and Technology Officer at PWN Health, he helped establish national COVID-19 testing programs that reached tens of millions of people. He has also held leadership roles at Everly Health, where he led enterprise product, and Bind Health, which he founded.
"Ale has a proven track record of building products, building teams, and building technology that changes the lives of underserved populations. At Groups, we're committed to delivering life-saving behavioral healthcare for individuals, and significant reductions in cost to our healthcare system," said Chief Executive Officer Cooper Zelnick. "Ale is uniquely positioned to help us move even more quickly in service of that mission."
"I'm excited to join a team that has built something truly humanizing and effective for people in recovery," said Thomé. "My priority is to be deliberate about where technology can lower barriers to treatment and where it can give care teams more time with members, because those relationships are central to recovery."
