Grow Financial Pledges $1 Million to Support Hurricane Recovery Efforts

TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the devastating impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Grow Financial Federal Credit Union has committed $1,000,000 to help Tampa Bay communities recover and rebuild. This donation will support two local organizations, Feeding Tampa Bay and the University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC), ensuring both immediate relief and long-term recovery for those most affected.

$750,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay

The partnership between Grow Financial and Feeding Tampa Bay is focused on both urgent relief and long-term stability. Feeding Tampa Bay, a leading force in disaster relief and food security, is putting the $750,000 donation to work in critical areas for families facing ongoing challenges — meals, housing assistance, essential appliances, transportation, clothing and ongoing recovery support.

$250,000 to UACDC

The UACDC received $250,000 to aid families in one of Tampa's hardest-hit areas. Severe flooding along Fowler Avenue and surrounding neighborhoods left many residents displaced, without essential resources. The funds will assist with housing, transportation and critical recovery efforts to help families and children regain stability in the months ahead.

The recovery process is nowhere near complete, but the resilience of the Tampa Bay community remains strong.
