Based in GROW's Los Angeles headquarters, Lash will oversee all company operations, including development of Quay Valley, a 7200 acre "sustainable" master-planned community located on I-5 in California's Central Valley.
While at Pardee, Lash oversaw 30 master-planned communities, developed over 80,000 residential lots, and built over 46,000 homes in including Pacific Highlands Ranch and Ocean View Hills in San Diego among others. On Lash's watch, Pardee became one of the nation's most awarded developers for environmental sustainability.
"I have known Jon for almost 10 years, and have seen how he contributed significantly to Pardee Homes' tremendous track record of success and industry-leading innovation," said GROW's Principal and CEO, Quay Hays. "I have every confidence in Jon's ability to use his unique experience to lead the development of our ground-breaking project."
"I've been following the progress at Quay Valley for several years, and am very excited to be leading such a landmark project," said Lash. "This will be a fully sustainable city which will incorporate the latest green and technology advancements to become a great example of how communities in the future will be developed. We have assembled a world-class development team, which includes many of the consultants I have worked with over the years."
"The fundamentals of this project are strong with many unique advantages," Lash added. "It has a tremendous marketing advantage with five miles of freeway frontage along I-5, providing exposure and access to over 12 million vehicles a year. It's halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco with 27 million residents already living within three hours of the site. Quay Valley will offer a wide variety of commercial and residential options at very attractive prices."
Quay Valley is incorporating the latest advances in green design, smart growth and sustainability including over 26,000 "smart" homes, high walkability, cutting edge technology, new methods of high water reclamation and reuse, and 20,000,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space expected to create up to 35,000 new jobs.
Hyperloop Transportation Technologies recently announced a deal with GROW to build the world's first working Hyperloop in Quay Valley.
Lash began his career at Pardee homes in 1987, and was its chief operating officer when it was acquired by Tri Pointe Homes Inc. in 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, with an emphasis on real estate development and property management.
