GSA Certifies MicroTech's Business Support System for $50 Billion Best-in-Class EIS Contract
TYSONS CORNER, Va., Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroTech is proud to announce that the General Services Administration (GSA) has completed its testing and has verified the compliance of MicroTech's billing and ordering tools, an integral function of our Business Support System (BSS), for this 15-year, $50 Billion Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract.
The BSS supports four processes: product management, order management, revenue management and customer management. The rigorous testing procedures implemented by GSA verifies that the BSS being developed by MicroTech can help federal agencies achieve digital transformation through Network Convergence, Cloud Implementation, Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications Networks, Services, and Technology and Telecommunications Products.
MicroTech has come a long way since 2012 when we first saw the plans for EIS, then known as NS2020. It was a momentous occasion in July 2017 when MicroTech became the only Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) among - then 10 awardees. We now celebrate the next EIS milestone – the completion of functional testing of our Business Support System.

EIS is a comprehensive solution-based vehicle to address all aspects of federal agency information technology, telecommunications, and infrastructure requirements, and is at the heart of GSA's Telecommunications Portfolio. EIS replaces 93 separate Networx, Regional Local Telecommunications Services (LSAs) and Washington Interagency Telecommunications System (WITS) contracts and offers telecoms, IT and network services to agencies for 15 years, via a five-year base period and two five-year options. With a total potential ceiling of $50 billion, each of the ten awardees on the contract will get a guaranteed minimum of $75 million in revenue.
