Guest Services, Inc. Announces the Promotion of Chris Bloyer to Vice President

FAIRFAX, Va., March 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Guest Services, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Bloyer to Vice President of Guest Services, Inc. With over 30 years of experience in operational management and leadership, Mr. Bloyer has played a pivotal role in effectively managing teams, overseeing capital projects, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving business growth across the greater Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland areas.

Since joining the company in 2022, Mr. Bloyer has overseen several of the nation's most prominent National Park locations, museums and other landmark destinations.  He was responsible for establishing several new partnerships and restaurant concepts including Bar Americano, the first ever wine bar and craft beer establishment on the National Mall; Catboat Pizza in Alexandra, Virginia, where guests can relax and take in the sailboat races along the Potomac River at the Washington Sailing Marina; and the introduction of competitive rowing programs at Columbia Island where Washington-Liberty Crew launches into the Pentagon lagoon. Mr. Bloyer started his career in 1991 with Day & Zimmerman as a senior project manager with contract oversight at The US Geological Survey, Architect of the Capitol, US Senate Computer Center, Federal Triangle, Bureau of Labor Statistics, National Building Museum, and he opened the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum in 1993. From 2001-2012 and again from 2015-2022, Mr. Bloyer worked for the Washington Commanders in various management roles overseeing nearly all operating aspects for the team, including training camp, concerts, college football, international soccer, and other major event productions.  From 2012-2015, Mr. Bloyer served as Chief Operating Officer for Recurrent Innovative Solutions, an energy services company based in Gaithersburg, MD.  Mr. Bloyer also served as Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's Sports Industry Management Program from 2015-2022 where he taught post-graduate students strategies and techniques to enhance the guest experience. Mr. Bloyer studied business administration at the University of Maryland and completed federal contracting certificate programs at George Washington University.
