Gulf Coast Midstream Partners Launches Open Season for Nash Storage Hub

Non-binding open season for proposed Southeast Texas natural gas storage project to run through October 23

HOUSTON, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Gulf Coast Midstream Partners, LLC ("GCMP"), a private developer of energy midstream assets, today announced the launch of a non-binding open season for firm natural gas storage and wheeling service at the Nash Storage Hub, a high-cycle salt cavern natural gas storage and transportation project in Fort Bend County, Texas. The open season is scheduled to run through October 23, 2026.

Strategically located near more than 15 major interstate and intrastate pipeline systems, the Nash Storage Hub is designed to connect growing Permian natural gas supply with LNG, power generation, utility, industrial, and other Gulf Coast end-use markets. The project is expected to connect with major pipeline systems, including Tennessee Gas Pipeline, NGPL, Transco, Matterhorn, Eiger, Traverse, Solitude, Enterprise, Tejas, Gulf South, FGT, and others. GCMP has received permits from the Railroad Commission of Texas for the development of up to five (5) underground salt caverns and ~57 billion cubic feet ("Bcf") of working gas storage capacity on the Nash Dome in Fort Bend County, Texas.

The Nash Storage Hub will initially be two salt caverns with 23 Bcf of combined working gas storage capacity, 0.9 Bcf/d of injection capacity, and 1.5 Bcf/d of withdrawal capacity, along with a large-diameter header system, a bi-directional booster station, and multiple bi-directional pipeline interconnects. GCMP is targeting a Final Investment Decision by April 1, 2027 to begin service by April 1, 2030.
