VIENNA, Va., Nov. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hair Cuttery, the largest family-owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, today announced 30,000 haircuts will be donated to former service men and women through its November Share-A-Haircut program. Surpassing last November's campaign total, the certificates are valued at $20 each, and will be used to show thanks and gratitude to veterans across the country.
The donated haircut certificates will be distributed to veterans in Hair Cuttery's almost 900 local communities. In each market, Hair Cuttery teamed up with resident veteran's organizations to provide free haircut certificates to former U.S. Military.
"We owe a great deal to our veterans for their courage and selflessness," said Dennis Ratner, founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery. "Share-A-Haircut is our way to say 'thank you' and show our appreciation to the men and women who have served our country."
Since 1999, the Share-A-Haircut program has donated more than 1.26 million free haircut certificates valued at nearly $25.2 million. Hair Cuttery has an established history of charitable giving, supporting a range of local and national causes, including St. Baldrick's Foundation, American Red Cross, The National Network to End Domestic Violence, American Cancer Society and Girls on the Run.
