Hallmark Channel Makes Long-Awaited Canadian Debut On W Network In Landmark Content Deal With Corus Entertainment

TORONTO, Oct. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Crown Media Family Networks' Hallmark Channel and Corus Entertainment's W Network – both leading entertainment destinations in their respective countries – announced today an historic multi-platform partnership that brings the United States' most iconic family-friendly entertainment brand to Canada for the first time ever. The multi-year partnership grants W Network exclusive Canadian licensing rights to all movies and scripted series produced by Crown Media for Hallmark Channel and sister network, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

W Network will launch Hallmark Channel on November 1, coinciding with the kick-off of the U.S. cable network's annual "Countdown to Christmas" programming event. Throughout the season, W Network viewers will have an opportunity to tune in to Hallmark Channel's beloved holiday movies, including a selection of brand new 2018 titles that will make their Canadian debuts in conjunction with the U.S. world premieres.
