Hammes celebrates ribbon-cutting ceremony for River Prairie Surgery Center in Altoona, Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE, Oct. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Hammes, a national real estate consulting, development, investment and management firm, celebrated the ribbon-cutting for the new River Prairie Surgery Ceremony, welcoming employees, local officials, and healthcare partners to tour the region's newest state-of-the-art outpatient facility.

The 13,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center, which features two operating rooms and three procedure rooms, was constructed on the first floor of a previously two-story medical office building that Hammes acquired in late 2024. Originally completed in 2019 as a specialty clinic and urgent care, the facility closed last year, creating a gap in healthcare access for the community. In partnership with OakLeaf Surgical Hospital, Hammes led the expansion and renovation to reopen the building as a 28,000-square-foot facility that will offer a wide range of outpatient surgical and specialty healthcare services.
