Hanania Automotive Group to donate over $62k to K9s For Warriors
The donation will be presented at the September 25th Jaguars game
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hanania Automotive Group has always been involved in the local Jacksonville community. One of the causes they support is K9s For Warriors, a charitable organization dedicated to providing service canines to warriors suffering from PTSD and traumatic injuries post-9/11. This is an important cause given the fact that on average, a staggering 22 military veterans commit suicide each day.
During the first timeout at the Jaguars versus Ravens game on Sept. 25, Jack Hanania, Founder and CEO of Hanania Auto Group will present K9s For Warriors with $62,222. This donation will be used to offset costs associated with certified dog training, equipment, housing, veterinary care, and peer-to-peer support—all of which are provided at no cost to the veteran.
At K9s for Warriors, post-911 veterans live and train on-site with their service dogs before graduating and taking them home. This life-saving program boasts a 100 percent success rate in suicide prevention for its graduates.
