HDT Global Announces Vincent Buffa as President & CEO
SOLON, Ohio, Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- HDT Global (HDT), a leading provider of highly engineered solutions for extreme environments across military, public and private sectors, announced today the appointment of Vincent Buffa as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Buffa brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience in US and international manufacturing of electrical and mechanical components, systems and finished goods for Aerospace, Defense, Commercial and Industrial markets. He replaces Frederick Strader, a current member of the HDT Board of Directors, who had served in the role on an interim basis.
Mr. Buffa is an accomplished executive with 33 years of related leadership experience. Before joining HDT, he was President and CEO of Data Device Corporation (DDC), a $250M electronics manufacturer of high-reliability data business, motion control and solid-state power controller products for aerospace, defense, commercial and industrial automation applications. During his seven-year tenure at DDC, Mr. Buffa successfully developed and executed a comprehensive organic growth strategy that included new technology development, quality system implementation to improve operational efficiencies, and sales and operational planning improvements.
Mr. Buffa also served as the President of Crane Energy Flow Solutions, a $400M global provider of specialty and custom valve products serving industrial, power, oil and gas markets, managing operations in Beijing, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Belgium and Canada.
Prior to his tenure at Crane, Mr. Buffa served as the President of Rexnord Industries Aerospace Group, a provider of highly specialized bearing, machined component and mechanical seal operations supplying large transport, regional, business and military aircraft OEMs, engine builders, gearbox suppliers and industrial customers. During his career, he also held leadership positions at Honeywell International, AlliedSignal and Harris Corporation. Mr. Buffa holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA from Hofstra University.
