Health Care Reform: Latest Employer Views Regarding Impact of Key Provisions

INDIANAPOLIS, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- United Benefit Advisors, LLC (UBA), (wwwUBAbenefits.com), one of the nation's leading employee benefits advisory organizations, released the results of the UBA 2010 Employer Opinion Survey Special Supplement featuring employer opinions on future costs, plan designs and the impact of health care reform provisions being considered by both houses of Congress.

The results of the supplemental questions on Health Care Reform completed by 1510 employers of all size companies, industries and regions of the country are highly representative of what employers believe should be included and excluded in health care reform legislation. Employers clearly believe that the current health care reform effort will not have a positive impact on health care costs. Other results include employer positions on wellness, taxation, exchange/co-op plans and government mandated health care.

"Health care reform is an extremely important issue for employers (and their employees) of all sizes, industries and geographic regions and they are anxious about the final outcomes. Employers are supportive of appropriate reform efforts that would provide coverage and financial protection to their employees while controlling costs. Additional findings of the 2010 UBA Employer Opinion Survey available in April of 2010 will provide employers with critical benchmarks that allow them to compare their attitudes and strategies regarding employer-provided health care with those of their peers and competitors.
