Health Choice Selects Inovalon's Star Advantage® Solution to Improve Quality Outcomes

BOWIE, Md., Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Inovalon, Inc., a leading technology company, today announced that Health Choice, a subsidiary of IASIS Healthcare, has initiated a multi-year engagement to implement Inovalon's quality improvement analytics, Star Advantage^®, and business intelligence and reporting platform, INDICES^™, for its managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage membership populations.

With the implementation of additional managed Medicaid measures for the state of Arizona and the recent expansion of membership into the state of Utah, Health Choice selected Inovalon to provide its quality improvement analytics solution, Star Advantage, to support its membership in meeting state requirements and improving performance scores under the Federal Medicare Advantage program. Additionally, Health Choice will use Star Advantage analytics to close gaps in care to focus on its URAC accreditation under Medicaid state specifications for Arizona. 

Star Advantage leverages Inovalon's Medical Outcomes for Research on Economics and Effectiveness Registry (MORE² Registry^®), a de-identified dataset of more than 8.3 billion medical events which empowers current understandings and improvements in healthcare trends pertaining to both care management and quality outcomes. Star Advantage brings to bear the right intervention with the right content, at the right time and in the right venue, for the right member, leveraging data and analytics to achieve highly resource-efficient improvements in quality across large and small populations.
