The summit takes place September 17-19, 2017 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The session "Increasing Audit Confidence: Using Data Analytics to Improve Coding Accuracy and Compliance and Understand Financial Performance" will be held on Monday, September 18. Speakers Laura Breisch, director of government programs and risk adjustment at Health First Health Plans, and Stephen Gasiorek, director of sales and account management at Talix, will discuss the urgent need for risk-bearing health plans and provider organizations to ensure they are accurately and completely identifying, documenting and coding all HCC conditions to the right specificity. They will examine the key risk adjustment compliance challenges insurers face including retrospective claims reviews to identify past claims submissions risks, and present strategies and best practices for improving coding accuracy and reducing audit risk.
Laura Breisch is a risk professional with over a decade of experience. Her responsibilities include leading the regulatory and revenue oversight of the Health First Health Plan's federal contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to administer Medicare benefits as a Medicare Advantage, and QHP. Stephen Gasiorek has more than 20 years of experience consulting and bringing solutions to a spectrum of healthcare industry sectors, including risk adjustment for payers and providers, quality, HEDIS, population health management, and care coordination.
