HealthSherpa Launches Industry's First ICHRA Policy Status API

New API gives ICHRA platforms visibility into ACA policy status, improving compliance, reducing risk, and enabling scale

As Individual Coverage HRAs (ICHRAs) continue to gain traction among employers, ICHRA platforms face growing operational and compliance complexity. A persistent challenge: tracking whether an individual policy has been effectuated, cancelled, or terminated — especially across fragmented exchanges and carrier networks.

HealthSherpa's new Policy Status API solves this by giving ICHRA platforms programmatic updates on a member's policy status. With this capability, platforms can:

• Confirm enrollments automatically, without logging into broker portals
• Detect cancellations and terminations before they create compliance risk
