BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthSouth (NYSE: HLS) today issued the following statement concerning the death of Robert P. May on April 2, 2011. Mr. May, 61, had served as non-executive Chairman of the Board from June 2004 until October 2005, Interim Chief Executive Officer from March 2003 until May 2004, and had been a member of HealthSouth's Board of Directors from October 2002 through October 2005.
