Heffernan Foundation Provides New 4-year $100,000 Scholarship in Partnership with College Track
WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Heffernan Foundation, the charitable giving program for Heffernan Insurance Brokers, announced today its second recipient of a scholarship program in partnership with College Track that will provide $25,000 per year for four years to a college student.
The Heffernan Foundation selects one student from College Track each year to receive the scholarship. This is the second year for the program with two college students currently receiving $25,000 per year. By 2018, the Heffernan Foundation will have four students each receiving the scholarship. College Track is a national organization that recruits students from underserved communities for a ten year program from 9th grade through college graduation providing academic support, advising, leadership training, and scholarships.

This year's recipient is Maria Rodriguez, who is currently in her freshman year at the University of California, Merced.
