Founder Bracha Banayan, FNP, draws on her clinical experience and personal journey with GLP-1 therapy to help people better understand metabolic health, medical weight management and emerging wellness treatments
BROOKLYN, N.Y., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Hello Dose, a clinician-led telehealth medical weight management practice offering services to eligible patients nationwide, is expanding its commitment to patient education through a series of no-cost webinars addressing some of today's most discussed health and wellness topics, including GLP-1 medications, metabolic health, longevity, hormone replacement therapy and peptide therapy.
Led by Hello Dose founder Bracha Banayan, FNP, the webinars are held on select Monday evenings and are no-cost and open to the public. Upcoming dates and registration information are available at liinks.co/bracha_banayan.
For Banayan, the conversation surrounding GLP-1 medications is both professional and personal.
After gaining approximately 20 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic, Banayan struggled to lose the weight despite focusing on diet and exercise. Initially skeptical of GLP-1 medications, she eventually decided to try semaglutide under appropriate medical care.
The experience changed her perspective and led her to look more closely at the relationship among weight, glucose regulation, insulin, nutrition, muscle, exercise and long-term metabolic health.
"I originally viewed GLP-1 medications primarily as weight-loss drugs, and I was skeptical," said Banayan. "My own experience made me look much more closely at the science of metabolic health and the relationship among weight, glucose regulation, insulin, inflammation, muscle, nutrition and long-term health. There is a much bigger conversation here than simply losing weight."
That broader conversation is now at the center of the Hello Dose educational webinar series.
Moving the GLP-1 Conversation Beyond Weight Loss
GLP-1 receptor agonists have become widely recognized for their role in diabetes treatment and medical weight management. Growing research and clinical interest have also expanded the conversation surrounding this class of medications and broader aspects of metabolic and cardiovascular health.
Banayan believes the increased attention surrounding GLP-1 medications makes accurate patient education particularly important.
During the webinars, she discusses GLP-1 therapy within the broader context of metabolic health rather than presenting medication as a substitute for nutrition, exercise and other healthy behaviors.
Topics include glucose and insulin regulation, food choices, maintaining and building muscle, physical activity, sleep and stress management. Participants also learn why long-term health involves more than simply reaching a target weight.
"Medication can be one tool, but it isn't the entire answer," Banayan said. "Nutrition matters. Muscle matters. Movement matters. Sleep and stress matter. The goal of these webinars is to help people understand how these pieces fit together and why sustainable health requires looking beyond the number on the scale."
Exploring Longevity Through a Broader Health Perspective
Longevity has become an increasingly prominent topic in health and wellness, but Banayan cautions against reducing it to a single medication, supplement or treatment.
Instead, the Hello Dose webinars examine factors that can influence metabolic and overall health, including maintaining muscle mass, regular physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management and appropriate medical care.
The educational sessions also explore topics surrounding hormone replacement therapy and peptide therapy, including what is currently known, areas where research continues to evolve, and why treatment decisions should be individualized and made with qualified healthcare providers.
"There is an enormous amount of information available to people right now, and not all of it is accurate or put into the proper context," Banayan said. "Education gives people the ability to ask better questions, understand potential risks and benefits, and have more informed conversations with their healthcare providers."
No-Cost Educational Webinars Open to the Public
Hello Dose's webinars address subjects including GLP-1 medications and medical weight management, metabolic health and glucose regulation, nutrition, maintaining muscle during weight loss and healthy aging, exercise and movement, hormone health, peptide therapy, sleep, stress management and longevity.
The webinars are no-cost and open to anyone, including individuals who are not currently Hello Dose patients.
Sessions are held on select Monday evenings, with upcoming webinar dates, topics and registration information available at liinks.co/bracha_banayan.
The webinars are intended for educational purposes and do not replace individualized medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Prescription medications and other medical therapies should only be considered following an appropriate medical evaluation and based on each patient's medical history, needs and goals.
"These are conversations I wish more people were having before they make decisions about their health," Banayan said. "My goal isn't to convince everyone that they need a particular medication or treatment. It's to give people better information so they can make better decisions."
