Hispanic Health Coalition Celebrates ¡Vive Tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® in Houston!

HOUSTON, Oct. 25, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the Hispanic Health Coalition, National Alliance for Hispanic Health, and Healthy Americas Foundation will host a health and wellness fair for all. ¡Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!^®, celebrating its 18^th year, is the nation's premier annual Hispanic family physical activity and healthy lifestyle event for the whole family. 

"The Hispanic Health Coalition is excited to announce the 18th annual ¡Vive tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving! taking place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10am-2pm at the BakerRipley Ripley House campus. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. The event brings the community together to promote health and wellness. Participants will have access to a variety of services, including:  health screenings, flu vaccinations, cooking demonstrations, nutrition education, health information, physical activities for all ages, bike raffles and so much more. We are looking forward to seeing families come out for a day of fun and health-focused activities," said Dr. Norma Olvera, President of the Hispanic Health Coalition. 

Families will enjoy a day of fun including live music, physical activities, free health screenings; and referrals to community health services. In addition, families can learn how to join the All of Us Research Program, a historic effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the US to accelerate research and improve health.

"Reducing health disparities requires a multi-faceted approach, including continuous preventative care and early detection.
