Holiday Giving Starts Early As Top National Partner Kmart Launches Its 2013 St. Jude Thanks and Giving® Campaign

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Kmart, recently named "Corporate Partner of the Year" by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital^® for its efforts to help fund research and treatment in the ongoing battle to end childhood cancer, has kicked off its 2013 St. Jude Thanks and Giving^® fundraising campaign earlier than ever, giving holiday and layaway shoppers more opportunity to contribute to the campaign. This year, Kmart is rewarding Shop Your Way members who give back -- now through Dec. 28 members will receive a coupon for five percent back in points on their next qualifying in-store or online merchandise purchase through Jan. 31, 2014*.

Shop Your Way members and Kmart shoppers can donate to help the children and families of St. Jude through a $1, $5 or $10 add-on program at check-out in all Kmart stores, or online via a link at Kmart.com/StJude. Kmart will also bring back its popular collectible St. Jude bear ornament, for purchase in-store and online at kmart.com starting Nov. 15. A donation of $1 will go to St. Jude for each ornament purchased, with a minimum donation of $50,000.
