Holladay Distillery Marks 170th Anniversary Year with Release of Ben Holladay 10 Year Bourbon
Limited 111-proof release is the oldest bourbon released by the historic Missouri distillery to date
WESTON, Mo., Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In a milestone year for Holladay Distillery, the historic Weston distillery will release Ben Holladay 10 Year Bourbon, its oldest bourbon to date, on Saturday, October 17.
The release comes as Holladay Distillery approaches its 170th anniversary on December 5, marking the occasion with a bourbon that has spent a full decade aging onsite in Holladay's iron-clad rickhouses.
Ben Holladay 10 Year Bourbon was distilled using the original Ben Holladay Bourbon mash bill. After 10 years of aging, Master Distiller Kyle Merklein carefully selected standout barrels for the special release.
Bottled at 111 proof (55.5% ABV), the final proof was carefully selected to showcase the bourbon after a full decade of aging.
"Ten years gives you a lot of time to watch how a bourbon develops and how the interaction between the whiskey, the barrel and the environment continues to shape it," said Merklein. "What stood out about these barrels was the character they were showing. In creating the final batch, we wanted to maintain that incredible depth of flavor while building an even more balanced bourbon. At 111 proof, we felt like we found the sweet spot where you can really experience what those ten years gave us."
The release also represents a significant milestone in the modern chapter of Holladay Distillery. While the distillery will officially mark 170 years on December 5, Holladay's bourbon revival began a decade ago, bringing the story of the 10 Year full circle.
Ten years in the barrel. 170 years behind it.
