Homeowners in Artesia, Burbank and Lakewood Can Now Finance Roofing, HVAC, Renewable Energy, EV Charging, Earthquake Resiliency, and Water Saving Projects through Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) Financing with Home Run Financing

Innovative Home Improvement Financing Now Available in Artesia, Burbank and Lakewood Following City Council Approvals

LAKEWOOD, Calif., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The City Councils of Artesia, Burbank and Lakewood have all voted recently to allow their homeowners to access Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) home improvement financing through industry leader Home Run Financing (HRF). These three cities join more than 360 other jurisdictions in California in approving the Program. The City of Los Angeles was an early adopter of the PACE program. Artesia, Burbank and Lakewood join 39 other cities in Los Angeles County in making HRF PACE Funding available to homeowners, including, most recently, Hawthorne, Calabasas and Lawndale, all of which approved the program last fall.

Homeowners across California are searching for ways to bring down their utility bills as energy costs climb, whether by adding renewable energy systems like solar panels or by upgrading to more efficient windows, doors, and roofs. Drought, too, remains a persistent challenge in the state, and a growing number of homeowners are looking for additional ways to finance home improvements that conserve water. PACE Financing is designed specifically for these kinds of water- and energy-saving projects.

Home Run Financing worked with Burbank Water and Power, the local community-owned utility company, to bring PACE to Burbank.

PACE is widely recognized as offering some of the strongest consumer protections in the home‑improvement financing industry nationwide, including only paying contractors upon completion of the project and only after homeowner satisfaction is confirmed, providing ability to pay review; and third-party inspection of completed projects. PACE Financing is available only through registered and trained contractors. PACE in California operates under the regulatory oversight of the California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation (DFPI).

More than 16 million Californians, accounting for 41 percent of the state's population, are Hispanic/Latino, and for many of them Spanish is the primary language. Approximately 30 percent of Artesia residents, 25 percent of Burbank residents, and 40 percent of Lakewood residents identify as Hispanic/Latino.

HRF is committed to working with Spanish-speaking homeowners and contractors. All materials are available in Spanish, from the website and homeowner contracts and financing documents to contractor guidance materials.
