Hortonworks and Hitachi Data Systems Partner to Deliver Apache Hadoop to the Enterprise

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Feb. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hortonworks® (NASDAQ: HDP), the leading contributor to and provider of Apache™ Hadoop®, today announced it has signed an agreement with Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS) to jointly promote and support Hadoop. The agreement enables HDS to deliver Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP™), the industry's only 100-percent open source data platform powered by Apache Hadoop, to Hitachi's enterprise customers. The move strengthens the HDS portfolio of big data and social innovation strategy solutions.
