Mr. Friesen focuses on patent disputes before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and federal district courts in Texas and across the United States.

Mr. Friesen's track record includes defending patent rights in inter partes review and other post-grant proceedings since the PTAB was established in 2012, successfully representing clients across a wide range of technologies, including semiconductors, medical devices, telecommunications, imaging, and electronics, among others.

In addition to his patent work in courts, Mr. Friesen provides expertise in intellectual property matters that impact business transactions, including potential infringement and invalidity issues, as well as commercial contracts and financing agreements.
