HOUSTON, Dec. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Once again, Houston attorney Mark Lanier, founder of The Lanier Law Firm, is being recognized as the state's top personal injury attorney in Texas Lawyer newspaper's 2012 Go-To Guide.

Mr. Lanier was among the 90 attorneys honored at a special Go-To Guide reception held on Dec. 6 at the Belo Mansion & Pavilion in Dallas. The full list of Go-To Lawyers is included as a supplement to the Dec. 10, 2012, edition of Texas Lawyer.

To develop the Go-To Guide of the state's top attorneys, Texas Lawyer editors solicited nominations and interviews from hundreds of attorneys across the state, asking them who they would turn to for representation in a particular practice area.

"Texas is home to some of the nation's top lawyers, and the plaintiffs' bar here is especially strong," says Mr. Lanier. "It is a true honor to be recognized again by Texas Lawyer."

Published every five years, Texas Lawyer's Go-To Guide, highlights five lawyers in 18 practice areas, with one attorney in each practice area earning the Go-To Lawyer distinction. Mr. Lanier has earned a spot on the listing each time, including being highlighted as the 2007 Go-To Lawyer for personal injury matters and among Texas' top five attorneys in the same category in 2002.

The 2012 Go-To Lawyer recognition marks the latest honor for Mr. Lanier, who recently earned a spot on the Top 10 Texas Super Lawyers list and the 2013 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. He also was highlighted by Chambers USA as one of the"Leaders in Their Field," based on his work in product liability and mass tort cases.
