In its recent US salary survey, InformationWeek found that the gulf between what women in IT and their male counterparts make remains substantial. The report found that IT executives who are men brought home $25,000 more in compensation compared to women executives, and the median base salary of vice presidents is $139,000 for men and $125,000 for women.
