Howdy Honda donates 2014 Honda Civic LX Sedan to local charity foundation for auto raffle

AUSTIN, March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Howdy Honda and the United Heritage Charity Foundation (UHCF) once again are teaming up to give east and central Texas residents an opportunity to win a new car for a dollar through their annual auto raffle.

This is the fourth year the UHCF has partnered with Howdy Honda to host an auto raffle designed to raise money for local charities and philanthropic programs. This year's raffle prize is a brand new 2014 Honda Civic LX Sedan, donated by Howdy Honda.

"It is with a great deal of pride that Howdy Honda partners with United Heritage Charity Foundation in this worthwhile endeavor – two caring organizations serving Greater Central Texas,"  Cliff Collier, Howdy Honda General Manager and Dealer Principal, said.

Proceeds from the raffle go to benefit the UHCF and its philanthropic mission of supporting projects and establishments such as children's organizations, cancer research, and education initiatives in east and central Texas. Through four years of the auto raffle, nearly $147,000 has been raised, $59,000 of which was from last year's raffle.

Tickets for the raffle are just $1 and there is no limit on the number of entries, so odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries and the number of tickets each participant purchases. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter and tickets can be purchased at UHCF locations and Howdy Honda until June 23 and June 27, 2014, respectively. The drawing will take place June 27 at Howdy Honda in Austin, Tex.

In addition to its role as one of the Austin's go-to Honda dealerships by providing an array of services, including useful vehicle comparisons, Howdy Honda lends its hand in many charitable endeavors and organizations each year. With contributions to Dell Children's Hospital and participation in initiatives like the Austin Heart Walk 5k and the Keeping Kids Safe Project, Howdy Honda extends its services well beyond the dealership.
