HR Shield Honors 2016 Winners at the Tampa Bay HR Person of the Year Awards
TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- HR Shield announced The 2016 Tampa Bay HR Person of the Year Awards winners at the 2nd Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, July 28th, at the TPepin Hospitality Centre, Tampa, FL. The event and its awards were made possible by Elements Global and HR Shield.
The award winners were judged by a panel of their peers. The panel consisted of 2015 Tampa Bay HR Award winners whose selections were based on high performers who demonstrated creative approaches in Human Resources that yielded consistent benefits to their organization. The Award winners were nominated from among approximately five-thousand HR professionals throughout the Tampa Bay region and selected from a field of twenty-two nominees.
The 2016 HR Person of the Year Award was divided into three categories. The small organization award recognized Amber Kukulya, PHR, SHRM-CP, Human Resources Manager at Minor League Baseball. Renee Hood, Senior HR Generalist at Tidwell Health Systems was awarded HR Person of the Year for medium organizations and the large organization HR Person of the Year was Amy Durham, Directory of Strategic Workforce Management at Moffitt Cancer Center. The 2016 HR Consultant of the Year Award recognized Terri Groening, MBA, MBTI Master Practitioner at Kaleidoscope Solutions. The HR Young Professional of the Year was Elizabeth Cotner, MA, Assistant Director of Human Resources at Longboat Key Club and the award for Global HR Excellence went to Samantha Hernandez, MA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Human Resource Executive at Pro-Link Global
The Tampa Bay HR Person of the Year Award was developed to celebrate the Human Resources Industry and to recognize those in the HR profession who exemplify outstanding achievement within the local Greater Tampa Bay human resources community.
