Huntington Bank Chairman Gary Torgow Joins The Henry Ford Board of Trustees

DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Gary Torgow, Chairman of Huntington Bank, has joined The Henry Ford Board of Trustees and will serve a three-year term, it was announced by Patricia Mooradian, President and CEO of the institution.

Torgow is Chairman of Huntington Bank. Co-headquartered in Detroit, Huntington is a top 10 bank in the United States with approximately $285 billion in assets, 30,000 colleagues across 37 states and more than 1,000 offices.

Beyond his role at Huntington, Torgow is Chairman of Business Leaders for Michigan, a roundtable representing the CEOs and Chairpeople of many of the state's leading companies. He also serves on the boards of DTE Energy and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

Torgow's commitment to the community extends across a number of civic and nonprofit organizations. He serves as Chairman of Jewish Federations of North America and President of Yeshiva Beth Yehudah and is Chairman of the 2026 NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner. His community leadership has also earned him the NAACP's James Weldon Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award and the Urban League's Distinguished Warrior Award.

Throughout his career, Torgow has played an active role in efforts to strengthen communities across Michigan, particularly in Detroit. He led corporate fundraising for the City of Detroit's Strategic Neighborhood Fund, helping raise more than $250 million to support seven Detroit neighborhoods. Torgow is also the founder of the Sterling Group, a Detroit real estate and development company.
