Hydro One Telecom Expands Network To Montreal With PoP In Cologix Data Centre

Hydro One Telecom leverages Cologix's carrier neutral data centre connectivity to enable utility-grade network access between Canada's two largest markets

MONTREAL and DENVER, April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hydro One Telecom Inc., a broadband telecommunications services provider and wholly-owned subsidiary of utility provider Hydro One Inc., has selected Cologix, a network neutral interconnection and data centre company, to deploy its point of presence (PoP) in Montreal. Hydro One Telecom chose Cologix's MTL 7 data centre at 1155 Robert-Bourassa Boulevard in downtown Montreal to support new client growth and existing customer services.

Hydro One Telecom is a facilities-based carrier that offers high-speed data networking services for critical infrastructure in Ontario, Montreal, Buffalo and Detroit, leveraging fibre routes from its parent company, Hydro One Inc., to provide unique routes and redundancy for its customers in the carrier, financial and enterprise segments.
