Hygieia Appoints Medical-Technology Veteran David Conn as President, Head of U.S. Business

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hygieia, a digital insulin enhancement company dedicated to making insulin therapy easier for everyone involved, announced the appointment of David Conn as president, head of the company's U.S. business, effective immediately. In this role, Conn will drive the introduction of Hygieia's d-Nav® diabetes connected-health service in the United States, reporting to Hygieia CEO and Co-Founder Eran Bashan.

Conn brings commercial, business development, marketing, sales and general management experience in multiple markets relevant to Hygieia, including diabetes management, mobile health and OTC healthcare. Most recently, he served as president of Facet Technologies, a global OEM manufacturer of blood sampling devices for the leading diabetes supply companies. Previously, Conn served as chief commercial officer for AgaMatrix, a pioneer in mobile-health hardware and software designed to enhance connectivity between patients and healthcare providers, and as president and CEO of HypoGuard, one of the first companies to develop blood-glucose testing for home use. 

Before joining HypoGuard, Conn logged nearly 20 years in consumer healthcare sales, including four years in Johnson & Johnson's LifeScan division, where he served as vice president, Consumer Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
