iFeelSmart and iWedia to Integrate their UI/UX and STB Software to Deliver a Bundle Solution for Android TV STB

iWedia, a leading provider of software solutions for TV devices to service operators and Consumer Electronics manufacturers, today announced that, in partnership with French TV UI specialist iFeelSmart, it delivers a bundle for Android TV STBs made of iFeelSmart's Andromeda UI/UX and iWedia's Teatro-3.5 STB software.

The announcement was made to coincide with the opening of TV Connect 2015 which is held in London from Tuesday, April 28th through to Thursday, April 30^th. iWedia exhibits at the show (stand #38) during which it will demonstrate the bundled solution.

iFeelSmart's Andromeda is a TV centric User eXperience (UX) which provides a simple and intuitive access to all services around live TV. With Andromeda, the legacy TV screen becomes as fast and playful as the newer screens (mobiles and tablets). Andromeda has been specifically designed to allow service providers to offer an open and dynamic ecosystem on Android TV while preserving their added value creation. The product has been shortlisted for the TV Connect 2015 awards in two categories: "Best TV Experience Enhancement" and "Best TV App".

iWedia's Teatro-3.5 STB software for Android TV implements iWedia's ANDROID4TV framework and APIs to seamlessly extend Android and integrate all the multicast, unicast and broadcast components necessary to give support to managed IPTV, OTT TV and broadcast TV services. Teatro-3.5 allows access to live TV (over IPTV, OTT, and over DVB), on demand and catch-up services, recording and time shifting features, as well as to Google services including YouTube and the Google Play app store.
